The Nubia Flip currently holds the title for the most affordable foldable phone on the market, priced at just $499, significantly undercutting Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 5 at $1000. However, this record is soon to be surpassed by Blackview’s upcoming Hero 10, which is slated to hit the market with a price tag of $425.

Similar to its competitors, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Nubia Flip, the Blackview Hero 10 will also feature a clamshell foldable design. While the pricing may vary slightly across different regions, all variations are expected to be lower than that of the Nubia Flip. The Hero 10 will not be positioned as a flagship-grade phone like the Galaxy Z Flip 5, likely offering a mid-range array of hardware. This trend indicates a promising shift towards foldable phones becoming more accessible to a wider audience.

In terms of specifications, the Blackview Hero 10 will boast a tall 6.9-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080p, though it will be limited to a 60Hz refresh rate. Details about the secondary screen are scant, but it appears to resemble the Huawei Pocket 2’s outer screen, measuring 1.15 inches with a resolution of 340 x 340. When unfolded, the device will weigh 198g and measure 8.8mm in thickness.

Soon, This Phone Will Set a New Record for Being the Most Affordable Foldable Yet

On the camera front, the Hero 10 will sport two rear cameras—a 108MP primary sensor paired with an 8MP ultrawide lens—along with a 32MP selfie shooter. Powering the device will be a MediaTek Helio G99 chip coupled with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage space. However, it’s worth noting that the software will run on the somewhat outdated Android 13.

Blackview has remained tight-lipped about the phone’s battery, suggesting it may not boast a particularly large capacity. Nonetheless, more details will be unveiled when the Blackview Hero 10 officially launches next month.
