Redmi has decided upon entering the flagship smartphone market, and the company has set its sights to release a phone coming in under the flagship department. Rumors have been gathering pace in recent times, and the latest speculation states that Redmi may launch the its first ever flagship phone before this month comes to a halt. The specs sheet for the phone has made an appearance on Weibo, giving us an indication as to what we can expect from the upcoming flagship.

The leak on Weibo states that the phone will feature with a 6.39 inch OLED display with full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The display of the phone is set to be notch-less, offering an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. To keep the lights running, the device will feature with a 4000mAh battery, which will also be equipped with the support for 27W rapid charging.

The leak further goes on to state that the device will feature with a pop-up selfie camera of 20MP with f/2.0 aperture. The rear side of the phone may feature with a triple camera setup consisting of an f/1.7 aperture 48MP main sensor, along with a 13MP superwide lens with f/2.4 aperture, and finally, an 8MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture. The leak also goes on to include the scores of the phone on benchmarking platforms such as Geekbench, GFXBench and more. And while the leak has revealed quite a lot about the device, we don’t  actually know whether the phone will have a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, or indeed an In-display fingerprint sensor.

On the processing capabilities of the phone, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 855. Being spotted on AnTuTu, the phone managed to rack up a very impressive score of 458,754.

A recent report has also suggested that Redmi might launch two flagship phones in the coming time – and these could be the K20 and the K20 Pro. Both the phones are said to come in a wide range of color options, including the likes of Carbon Fiber, Blue, and red. And as of now, there seems to be no information over how much the phone will cost.

The phone will also feature in the Indian market, and could on to be the cheapest phone of 2019 to be powered by the Snapdragon 855.
