Pakistan is getting ready to replace one of its most used and favorite car the Suzuki Mehran and that is happening in 2019. It has been reported that it will be replacement will be in the form of Suzuki Alto 660cc variant very soon as per reports. It has been decided by the Japanese company to replace Mehran in Pakistan with one of its most recent inventions which will be carried out as soon as the first month of 2019. The company previously had revealed plans to discontinue the hatchback shaped car that we all love, from April of 2019 and Suzuki also ordered its vendors to slow down on the production of the Vehicles spare parts.
So what can we expect?
It has also been reported that the new shaped Alto will come in three variants one of which is automatic and the other two will be manual and are going to be launched by December or In the first quarter of the next year. All three variant’s have the power steering and engine power in common, a locally impaired transmission, similar to that being currently used in the Suzuki Wagon R
One of the most exciting features however is the cars efficient fuel consumption as the car is specifically designed for low-fuel consumption with it coming with ‘Special Green Technology’. Suzuki further claims that its economy is about 37 km per liter which is very efficient considering a non-hybrid car.

Furthermore the Japanese automaker is set to announce the release date later this month or in the coming month with deliveries to start from as soon March 2019. A report also reveals that around 25 units have already been produced of the new hatch-back designed car for testing and many units have been developed for display. Furthermore coming on to the price of the car, it seems that the car will be around 8-9 lacs,whereas the fully loaded automatic one might touch the ten million mark.
Sources in the company have told that the difficult decision to discontinue Mehran which was in-fact one of its most selling cars was taken after pressure was put from Japan and Suzuki Pakistan was asked to discontinue the Mehran after it was turning expensive for the Parent Company to provide for, the engine parts of the car.
