Microsoft is a pretty big name in the technology services industry and has established itself as one of the best in the game. The company lays a lot of emphasis on the services they provide and try to ensure a good a consumer experience, however that does not mean that a company of such a stature does not incur problems. The personal information manager, Microsoft Outlook, used for all work purposes by millions or all around the globe went down four hours yesterday which affected users worldwide, especially employees. Even though Outlook has several personal information servicers in it such as;\u00a0 calendars, task managing, contact managing, note-taking, etc, only the main email service on Outlook.com was down on desktop and mobile. In regards with the outage, the software gaint said this on their Twitter panel, \u201cWe\u2019ve determined that a recent configuration update to components that route user requests was the cause of impact. We\u2019ve reverted the update and are monitoring the service for recovery\u201d. The company also confirmed that the said issue was affecting so many users throughout the globe, but added that Indian users were the ones that had to face the most problems. They are currently investigating the issue to get to better understand what caused it and how they can ensure it does not happen again. This comes just a few days after Microsoft Outlook, Office 365, Teams, and other services experienced similar issues for several hours but, unlike other companies, Microsoft does not tell the root cause of such technical issues so chances of us knowing the root cause of such a major issue are slim to non. At the moment, Outlook services are back underway and data recovering for people throughout the world is on going and it should not be long before it\u2019s fixed for everyone.
