“This partnership was inevitable. It only makes sense that two giants in the tech industry work together for the benefit of their users,” said Junaid Iqbal, Managing Director, Careem. “Telenor and Careem have always believed in bridging distances, and there is no other better way to do so than making commute easier,” he added.

The tech industry is no longer segmented into telecommunication, traveling, and food ordering apps. It is one conglomerate where a user who is connected to one is connected to all others. One evidence to support this claim is the increased integration between telecoms and ride-hailing apps, such the integration between Telenor and Careem.

Telenor Pakistan has been building alliances with top tech players of the country to materialize and expedite its digitization and inclusion goals. Continuing to bring access to the internet in various parts of the country, Telenor aims to revolutionize the everyday life of the 21st century man and woman, where accessibility finds a new definition.
