It was introduced with watchOS 9.2, but also with iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2 and macOS Ventura, there is support for the new Home app architecture, which was also introduced with iOS 16.2.

With this update, Apple has also included a track workout that is suitable for runners as well as cyclists. As a result of this feature, there is a competition between runners and cyclists that is designed for them to compete against themselves on routes that they have completed and recorded on their Apple Watch as outdoor runs and rides. Users can compete against their best or last time on any regularly completed outdoor running route, and the feature also provides in-training pace guidance.
