The recent news surrounding Vivo is that the company is gearing up the launch for its first ever 5G device at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2019 which is going to take place later in the coming week. The event is not far off, and now Vivo has made another big announcement with the introduction of its 120W Super FlashCharge technology. The claims of the company state that this technology has the capabilities of completely charging a 4000mAh battery phone in the short time of just 13 minutes.

Back in March, Xiaomi too had teased its very own version of fast charging with the company’s 100W Super Charge Turbo technology which has the capabilities of charging a 4000mAh battery in just 17 minutes. Of course in comparison to Xiaomi’s technology, Vivo’sFlashCharge can charge the same sized battery in a shorter period of time. Vivo has also claimed that it takes only five minutes for the 4000mAh battery to reach 50 percent capacity –a direct consequence of the new technology. And so there is little doubting the fact that this is currently the highest charging power and fastest charging capacity in the whole of the smartphone industry.

Back in April, Vivo latched the IQOO gaming phone and the phone came with the fastest charging rate seen on any Vivo phone. The device came with a 4000mAh battery, and it takes only 45 minutes to charge the phone to its full capacity via Vivo’s44W fast charging tech. Back when the official introduction took place, Vivo states that it goes on to use a new charge pump technology possessing a conversion rate of 97 percent along with the factor of FCC technology in order to achieve 44W fast charging.

What working principle follows Vivo’s sophisticated 120W Super FlashCharge technology is yet to be revealed by the company. Vivo also has not confirmed as to when the mass production of the technology will commence however it may debut a new flagship phone later in the year that features with 120W charging.
