Earlier this year, Huawei’s spin-off smartphone brand Honor announced a new addition to its midrange smartphone catalog with the Honor Play 30M. This new device is a part of the Play 30 series of devices that hit the market earlier this year, comprising a base model and a plus model. Honor Play 30M specifications and features
It is good to note that this new device is similar in size, processing power, and battery capacity to its predecessor. A major improvement to the design of the new device is the addition of an extra camera lens on the back of the device as well as a new cutout style for the front end. It is important to note that, apart from the change in design, both the Play 30M and the Play 30 are birds of the same feather.

- It is also worth mentioning that there has been a change in the layout of the rear camera on this device, where the main camera lens sits above the secondary lens, leaving the flash to be located on the right side of the device. There is an additional cutout just below the flash that does not hold a sensor, but it does help to fill in the square camera layout to improve the overall design of the device. The Honor Play 30 also has a water-drop-shaped cutout on the screen for the 5MP selfie camera, which sits inside the cutout in the same way as the Honor Play 30.
