The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 30th Anniversary Edition was launched a couple of months ago as part of the celebration to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the ThinkPad brand being established. There was a limited number of laptops available for purchase in select global markets such as the US, Japan, etc.

After a long wait, Lenovo has finally announced that it will launch the special edition notebook in China next month. There are limited quantities of this laptop that will be sold by the company in China just like in other regions. It is possible for people who already own the 25th-anniversary commemorative model to get the 30th-anniversary model by providing the SN code of the 25th-anniversary commemorative model in the first batch.

In terms of specifications, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 30 comes with a 14-inch screen with a resolution of 4K and a brightness of 500 nits, a 12-generation Intel Core i7 1260p processor, 32GB of high-speed memory at 5200 MHz, a 1TB PCle4.0 NVMe solid storage drive, and many other features. Aside from that, it is also equipped with a FHD+RGM webcam that comes with the ability to recognize faces in the infrared spectrum.

It is also important to note that the packaging box for the 30th anniversary unit incorporates the idea of environmental conservation and is created entirely from bamboo and sugarcane fibers that are both renewable and compostable within seconds. In the ThinkPad X1 Carbon 30th Anniversary Edition, the top cover is made of carbon fiber, and the logo has been designed in red, green, and blue to represent the three primary colors of the logo. It also includes a limited-edition RGB three-color TrackPoint replacement cap. The right hinge of the commemorative model will be engraved with a unique number for the machine’s 30th anniversary.

As of yet, the price of the device has not been disclosed for the Chinese market. Despite the fact that the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 30th Anniversary Edition is priced at $4,170 in the US, when configured in the above-mentioned configuration.
