In 2011, SAIC MG Europe has sold more than 100,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 106%, and this increase has been driven by the official delivery of MG4 Electric (renamed MG MULAN in China) to customers in the first eleven months of this year.

There were more than 50,000 vehicles sold in continental Europe, a 160% increase in sales from the previous year; sales in the UK amounted to nearly 50,000 units, a 64% increase from the previous year. It has been announced that Europe has become MG’s first “100,000-level” overseas market, with its products now available in 38 countries, including the UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy, as well as other European countries.

As of September this year, MG4 Electric has officially launched on the European market and has received over 20,000 orders in the first three months since its launch. During the next few years, SAIC anticipates entering more than 80 countries around the world by the year 2023. As of right now, there are more than 790 MG stores in Europe that are operated by the brand.

This year, the MG MG MULAN will be introduced to the market as a new pure electric model, built on the SAIC Nebula architecture, featuring a new super electric drive system and a Rubik’s Cube battery combination, and it is scheduled to be launched in September.

The MG MULAN offers both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions, plus three different power levels and corresponding three cruising ranges, all of which are available in two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions. There are three different power systems included in the power system, a 125kW single motor + 51kWh battery version, a 150kW single motor + 64kWh battery version, and a total power of 315kW dual motor + 64kWh battery version, respectively, with respective cruising ranges of 425km, 520km, and 460km.
