Redmi – a company being known for providing mid-range phones for an extremely low prices has been amongst the news surrounding the smartphone world as it launched its first ever flagship smartphone – the Redmi K20 Pro. The phone was launched on the 28th of May, and with just an hour and 45 minutes since the start of sales, Redmi managed to sell 200,000 units according to a poster which was shared by the company itself.
And while we don’t have any information over how many units of the phone were actually available when the phone was first raked up for sales, it is now certainly out of stock. However, Xiaomi has said that with the next sale going on the 4th of June, it is already accepting the next batch of Pre-orders.
The base model of the phone comes with 6 gigs of RAM and 64 gigs of internal storage. Being priced at $362 – the phone gives all the options you’d expect of a flagship, in a price more than half of what you would pay for other devices coming in the flagship segment. The 128GB version of the phone is priced at $376, with the most premium variant, coming in with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage – is available at $434.
The K20 Pro comes with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution. Coming in with an In-display fingerprint scanner, the phone happens to be covered with Gorilla Glass 6. As the phone has no notch or even a hole punch, it comes with a motorized 20MP pop-up selfie camera. As far as the camera setup on the back of the device goes, we have a triple camera configuration consisting of 48MP + 13MP + 8MP. As you’d expect from a flagship in 2019, the device features with the Snapdragon 855 processor. It also has a 3.5mm audio jack – something many don’t see from flagship phones these days. And as far as battery is concerned, the device comes with a unit worth 4000mAh : needless to say Redmi hasn’t disappointed on that end either.
