Redmi has officially announced that the global launch date for the Redmi Note 12 Pro + is scheduled for January 5 next year, in order to coincide with the Chinese New Year. This is the first Redmi phone to come with a 200MP (200 megapixels) camera, which is a first among Redmi phones.
Xiaomi teased last week that the Redmi Note 12 series would be launched in India soon, but did not provide a date for the launch. Redmi Note 12 Pro + is definitely on the list of models coming in — the Redmi Note 12 Pro + is definitely on the list, as has been announced the Redmi Note 12 and the Redmi Note 12 Pro, but there could also be a Redmi Note 12 Trend Edition, a version that offers 210W charging, but is likely to remain exclusive to the Chinese market only.
There have been 300 million shipments of the Xiaomi Redmi Note series so far, with 72 million of them going to India, making it the world’s fastest selling smartphone.
All three of the Redmi Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro +, and Note 12 Discovery smartphones are powered by the Tiangui 1080 chip, but they differ in terms of camera, battery, and memory, with the Discovery model coming with a 200MP pixel main camera and a 210W wired charger.
