Oppo’s latest device, the Oppo Reno was unveiled in Zurich, Switzerland just last month. The phone has made quite a reputation for itself, and for all the right reasons. Carrying a very powerful narrative, the phone has a very good camera, the Snapdragon 710 chipset coupled with either 6 or 8 gigs of RAM and 128 gigs of internal storage. Now though, Oppo is gearing up to launch yet another variant of the same device, going by the name of the Oppo Reno 10X – with the device set to launch on the 10th of May in China. The VP for the Chinese domestic market, Brian Shen has gone on to confirm that the Reno 10C will go on to support 60x digital zoom.

Such a device, when launched, will see a significant upgrade over the Oppo Reno standard edition. The Oppo Reno 10X Zoom edition has even surpassed the Huawei P30 Pro’s 50X digital zooming capability.

The phone will carry a triple camera setup on the back, consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, along with a 12MP telephoto lens and an 8MP ultra wide angle lens. The phone’s periscope lens module which has the focal length of 16-160 mm will facilitate the zooming capabilities that it possesses. On the front of the device is present the 16MP pop-up selfie camera, which too, on its own, is quite impressive. The phone gets its juice from the latest Snapdragon 855, while having a 6.65-inch AMOLED display.

On TENAA, another variant of the Oppo Reno was recently spotted, and this variant had an improved front camera, along with a few other changes. And like the standard version, the phone also embeds a dual camera module. It is also expected that in this new edition of the phone, the bezels will be slightly thicker, while the battery size will also see an improvement.
