In announcing the launch date for its upcoming Xiaomi 13 series phones, Xiaomi has finally confirmed the launch date. There will be a new series of smartphones coming out on December 1. The company will not only unveil MIUI 14 at the same event, but it will also unveil the new Android operating system as well. It will include the Xiaomi 13 and the Xiaomi 13 Pro phones as part of the series.

As of December 1, Xiaomi 13 Series and MIUI 14 will be available for purchase

There has been an official render shared by Xiaomi boss Lei Jun of the Xiaomi 13 which will bear a flat OLED screen with 1.61mm thick bezels on the top and the sides while the bottom bezel will measure 1.81mm thick. The phone will also be very easy to handle with one hand due to its 71.5mm width – which makes it a relatively easy device to hold in one hand.

The Xiaomi 13 series phones will also be waterproof and dustproof since they are IP68 certified. As part of its launch event on Thursday, Xiaomi also confirmed that it would launch the Watch S2 smartwatch, Xiaomi Buds 4 TWS earphones, as well as its first desktop computer, a new Wi-Fi router, and a projector at the event.

The upcoming Pro Variant of the phone may contain the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor according to some previous reports. In addition to all of these features, the phone will have a large battery capacity of 4,800 mAh. There has been a recent leak that suggests Xiaomi will continue to work with camera maker Leica in order to tweak colour balance on its cameras. A triple 50MP camera is going to be installed on the back of the upcoming smartphone. As well as that, there will also be a one-inch Sony IMX989 sensor offered as the primary sensor in this device.
