So probably the most popular micro-blogging website is without a doubt Twitter which  has been working on some redesigns for its various platforms, and these redesigns have also added an all-black dark mode for users of the popular platform. However, so far the android users have not yet been able to use the new mode and well all of that is about to change very soon.

The Vice President of design and research for Twitter, Dantley Davis, recently stated in a tweet and mentioned that all-black Lights Out mode is certainly on the way for Android users. According to reports from several media outlet, the new dark mode is expected to arrive on the platform somewhere in between the month of September this year. Now we know users are anxiously waiting for the new night mode feature but it is surprising to learn that Twitter launched its Lights Out feature for iPhone and iPad users in the month of March, and is launching it for Android users in September, really is surprising to wonder what may have caused the delay. The VP said in response to a question concerning this delay that “the prioritization is the main reason it’s taking so long”.

Moreover, we can for now only hope that the Android version of the Twitter’s dark mode feature comes sooner rather than later, as Android Q software is almost ready and set to launch in the coming few months around the corner, and it is bringing a system-wide dark theme along with it.Twitter launched its dark mode feature for desktop version two years ago in 2017, and later in March 2019, the company launched its Lights Out feature for iOS users. Finally, no doubt users will definitely dig the new feature on there devices and well Android users can not wait to get their hands on the new feature.
