Ubisoft helps players transfer from Google’s Stadia cloud gaming platform

Stadia, the cloud gaming platform that was previously announced to shut down on January 18, 2023, had already been announced to be closed. There was an announcement by Ubisoft following the shutdown that it would allow PC players to play Ubisoft games purchased on Stadia on their PCs through game transfers.

The following measures have been officially announced by Ubisoft recently:

We are excited to inform you that Ubisoft Connect PC now will be able to play your Ubisoft games that were purchased on Stadia.

In the case of PC games, they will automatically be added to the Ubisoft account that is linked to your Stadia account if the game is available on a PC.

If you purchased the game through Stadia, you are going to receive the same or a better version of it.

As long as the game you own supports cross-progression, you’ll be able to keep any progress you have made on PC.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that virtual currency cannot be transferred from Stadia to PC. In order to avoid loss of virtual currency, make sure you use it before Stadia shuts down on January 18, 2023.”
