Ufone in the past stood firm in there belief that their 3G speeds  if service is maintained and run efficiently, is more than enough for users in Pakistan. However, with this new decision, it seems that the company is all set to change there strategy, mainly because the company believes that the 4G market is ripe now and 4G handset penetration has improved as well, making the overall conditions enough to invest in 4G/LTE.

Now many will argue with the fact that Ufonewill be launchingits 4G servicewithout a license, but the company made it clear that theyhave obtained all the necessary, regulatory approvals needed to launch there version of the 4G/LTE in Pakistan. What this means is that the company will be launching 4G services within its currently available spectrum. Furthermore another cause for concern was about the total available spectrum thatUfonecurrently has under its belt, as the service quality for 2G and 3G customers could be impacted if Ufone’s limited spectrum is further split up to offer the 4G services as well.
