The Vivo V1 happens to be Vivo’s first self developed processor and it has now been confirmed that it will go on and make its debut in the next week when the upcoming Vivo X70 series. If you happen to be wondering how big the chipset actually is, images of it along with the Snapdragon 888 have gone on to surface on the Web.

The photos which have actually been posted on Weibo by a known Chinese leaker in the Digital Chat Station show the V1 image signal processing chip along with the 5nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. As we can see, the Vivo V1 happens to be pretty small in comparison to the Qualcomm chipset.

Vivo actually goes on to claim that the V1 will end up improving photography experience of phones that it will feature with. There also happens to be speculation that only the Vivo X70 Pro+ will end up featuring with custom ISP but until there happens to be an official confirmation, it’s best to take the news with a pinch of salt. Indeed the X70 series will end up launching with a rather wide variety of chipsets. The standard model will be available in the Exynos 1080 and Dimensity 1200 variants, while the X70 Pro will feature with the Exynos 1080 under its hood and finally the X70 Pro+ will end shipping with the Snapdragon 888+ processor.

These are exciting times for Vivo of course due to the fact that this chipset will only end up improving the camera performance – which is in fact an aspect much needed when it comes to Vivo as a smartphone company. Much has of course been made of Chinese brands not being able to produce good camera phones and OnePlus itself is no stranger to this accusation.
