Vivo seems to prepare to launch a new series of flagship smartphones, succeeding its previous line, the Vivo X80 series. Known as the Vivo X90 series, the new phone line is expected to be introduced later this year.
One of the most interesting features of the Vivo X90 range is the chipset tipped by what is expected to be the new MediaTek chipset. Underlying the Vivo X90 series is a total of three models ranging up to the top-tier X90 Pro. Qualcomm and MediaTek have also announced their participation in the series concerning the chips that power the series.
Vivo has not yet released the dates for the launch of their new Qualcomm-made chipset overlay. Vivo X90 models will include the X90, the high-end X90 Pro, and the mid-range X90 Pro. Just one chipset will be optimized for all three models, reportedly new MediaTek chips.
According to WhyLabs on Weibo, the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC, which is tipped to be the main assembly for an unspecified model planned for the Vivo X90 lineup, will contain Arm-designed Cortex X3 and A715 cores, although the graphics operations on the chip will be handled by the Immortalis G715 GPU. It gives hardware ray tracing support on the new chip.
The Vivo X90 series will be among the first to release a state-of-the-art Snapdragon chip in late November. The post claims that the Vivo X90 series will usher in brand-new tech with this product. This implies the Vivo X90 series will be among the first to release the Snapdragon chip later in November.
