Xiaomi have confirmed that the Redmi 7 will launch alongside Redmi Note 7 on the 18th March

So Xiaomi have recently been surrounded by a lot of rumors and leaks on the subject of there upcoming cellphone devices, the Redmi 7 and the Redmi Note 7 and after a few days of teasers and speculations, the phone has finally been prounced official. The Xiaomi Redmi 7 model will launching alongside the Redmi Note 7 Pro and the date has been confirmer to be the 18th of March, 2019. Now as may all have guessed the Redmi 7 device will be considered as the low-end phone in this series, below the Redmi Note 7 series, coming with less powerful features and specifications but will also bring a relatively cheaper price tag as well.

 Redmi’s recently appointed General Manager, Lu Weibing confirmed this news in a post he made on Weibo and in addition to confirming the date, he also revealed the design of the upcoming device..

The Redmi 7 is quite like the elder Note series sibling. What we mean by this is that the new phonewill have the same camera arrangement at the back and in addition to that it will also consist of the same fingerprint placement. However, this time around you will have a little less fancier color options for the upcoming model . Moreover, in an image leaked on the internet it is seen that the device will be coming in at least three color variants for the Redmi 7,  Black, Blue, and a Sunrise Red color. The front is also similar to the quite like the Note 7 as it will also be featuring a teardrop display with a thick bottom bezel.

The phone has  already been certified by TENAA, so we have a small idea about most of the device’s specifications. The new device will be packing a 6.2-inch IPS LCD display, which is only slightly smaller than the Redmi Note 7. The resolution is expected to be HD+ while the processor is expected to be the Snapdragon 632, and will come with a 2GB + 16GB memory configuration. There should be additional 3/4GB RAM variants as well.
