14th of March was the date set when the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE was to become available for purchase, however, this was cancelled due to the fact that there was insufficient stock to warrant making the phone available for purchase.

Lei Jun, who happens to be the CEO of Xiaomi, had made an announcement yesterday that the phone will now go on sale starting the 19th of March. The phone will be available alongside the Mi 9 – with it  already having its first sale, however, still short on the supply. With regards to the Mi 9 Transparent edition, there is still no news over the date.

Lei Jun also made stated that if the target set out by the company of a million units of the Mi 9 series within the first month is not met, he himself will go on to join the production line.

Amongst the three phones found in the Mi 9 series, the Mi 9 SE happens to be the cheapest, and also, the least powerful. However, while it isn’t as powerful as the two other devices, the phone is still quite decent – when you consider the fact that it is the first smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 712 processor, which is indeed the most powerful mid-range chipset that is available in current times.

The Mi 9 SE comes with an AMOLED display, being similar in thatregards to the Mi 9, however, has a smaller display of 5.97-inches. The phone happens to be covered with Gorilla glass 5, while having a dot drop notch. The device features with 6 gigs of RAM, and either 64 or 128 gigs of internal storage. On the rear of the phone, we see a triple camera setup, featuring a 48MP primary sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide sensor, an 8MP telephoto sensor, while the selfie camera is a 20MP sensor. The phone also features with an In-display fingerprint sensor, while running Android 9 Pie right out of the box. The phone features with a 3070mAh battery to keep the lights running.
