Now even though 2019 was what you would call as a year of innovation when it comes to smartphones, we were keen to notice that we did not see many 5G-ready gaming-centric mobile phones in the market as yet. The first 5G enabled gaming smartphone came from the Chinese manufacturers, Vivo’s in the form of the  iQOO Pro 5G released which was released back in August of 2019. It was however interesting to note that all of this is about to change as we have now entered the new year 2020 . In the latest news we have found that Xiaomi is working on its 5G enabled black shark gaming phone and with them Nubia just took to Weibo to announce that there upcoming gaming-focused smartphone will boast 5G support which means that gaming users will now have the ease of 5G access in the new year.

A poster uploaded on the web reveals that the smartphone device shall be powered by the Snapdragon 865 which will be backed up by an X55 5G modem for 5G connectivity. Moving on, the upcoming Red Magic smartphone will also carry support for both Non-Standalone (NSA) and Standalone (SA) 5G networks in the home market. The 2019-launched Vivo iQOO Pro 5G does not support dual-mode 5G. Moreover, the upcoming Red Magic handset will run on Android 10.

Moving on so far we have little or no solid information regarding the specifications of the upcoming device, However, we now know that Chinese OEMs would not like to  use the number 4 when it comes to naming any of their smartphones as it is considered as bad luck by the people of the country.. So, the upcoming Red magic smartphone will most probably be called Red Magic 3s or Red Magic 5 all will be revealed soon enough. It should also be noted that the previous model of the Red Magic device launched back in April 2019 and since then Nubia teased the new gaming-centric smartphone on 1st January 2020, it looks like the new mobile device will get an early release.
