The Australian pacer, Kane Richardson, has been ruled out of the limited-overs series against Pakistan due to a hamstring injury. Cricket Australia has named left-arm pacer Ben Dwarshuis as his replacement for the upcoming tour.
Details indicate that Richardson pulled his hamstring during a training session in Melbourne ahead of the squad’s planned departure to Lahore in a few days. Despite the injury not being considered a long-term problem, the team believes Richardson’s best interests are served by not traveling and aggravating the injury further.
Australia’s pace bowling options are severely impacted as their three-star pacers, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, and Josh Hazlewood have already been rested for the three ODIs and one T20I.
