The Sindh government as well as Tech Valley Pakistan, a country partner of Google for Education and Tech Valley Pakistan, have signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to digitalize school buildings in Karachi.

Secretary of the Sindh Education and Literacy Department (SELD), Ghulam Akbar Laghari, as well as the Chief executive officer (CEO) from Tech Valley, Umar Farooq The two signed the MoU on Thursday.

According to the details, Tech Valley will be responsible for integrating Google’s digital education platforms into schools to improve the learning experience for students.

One of these services is Google Classroom which lets teachers upload their study materials, assignments and quizzes and engage with students in real-time.

Additionally, Tech Valley will also offer training on various Computer Science (CS) courses to thousands of teachers and students across Sindh. In the beginning 500 teachers and 250 students from 5 schools will receive instruction on the Google’s CS First and Be Internet Awesome programs.

Speaking at the gathering Secretary SELD acknowledged Tech Valley and Google for having taken the initiative to transform the education system in Sindh and urged other organizations to consider similar collaborations.

Tech Valley’s CEO Tech Valley said that the MoU will digitalize the educational system in Karachi and enhance the learning experience by making it more enjoyable and engaging for students.
