The United States has emphasized the importance of unrestricted internet access for the public amidst reports of the social media giant X, previously known as Twitter, being inaccessible in Pakistan. Despite brief periods of recovery on Monday and Tuesday, the microblogging platform X has once again been suspended on Wednesday, leaving users struggling to access the website for updates and trending topics.
In a recent statement, US State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller addressed the situation in Pakistan. While acknowledging that elections and the formation of government are internal matters of Pakistan, Miller reiterated calls for investigations into allegations of irregularities.

Expressing concern over the disruption of the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, during the post-election crisis, Miller stated that while he lacked specific details about the situation, Washington consistently advocates for full internet freedom worldwide. This includes ensuring the availability of platforms that people rely on to communicate with one another.
