In a recent development, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has given the green light to a new laptop scheme aimed at benefiting students across the province. This decision was made during a meeting focused on reforms in the higher education sector, presided over by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz herself.

During the meeting, discussions revolved around strategies to enhance higher education, including the revival of the laptop scheme and the provision of transportation services specifically for female students. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz personally endorsed the reinstatement of the laptop scheme, marking the return of state-of-the-art laptops to students in Punjab after a hiatus of seven years.

Furthermore, the province is set to distribute 20,000 electric bikes to students, in a move geared towards facilitating their mobility.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz underscored the objective of establishing international-standard universities in every district, along with colleges at the tehsil level. This initiative signals a significant step forward in enhancing the educational landscape across Punjab.
