Pakistani mountaineer Samina Baig was rushed to Skardu Hospital after experiencing health complications in Gilgit-Baltistan’s Shigar district. Doctors attributed her condition to fluid buildup in her lungs, requiring urgent medical attention.

Due to lack of helicopter access, Baig was transported by horseback from her Tokkii Meadows base camp, where she was training for an expedition. Following an international doctor’s recommendation, she is being transferred to Skardu for specialized care and is expected to arrive tonight.
