The city witnessed record-breaking rain, leading to significant flooding in low-lying areas. Streets were submerged, some buildings were damaged, and traffic came to a standstill, causing offices and shops to remain closed.
The downpour began early in the morning and continued relentlessly for more than two hours. Major areas affected by the torrential rain include Mall Road, Ferozepur Road, Model Town, Faisal Town, Lakshmi Chowk, and Anarkali, all of which were inundated.

The highest recorded rainfall in Lahore was 337 millimeters at the airport. Other areas experienced substantial rainfall as well: Pani Wala Talab received 203 millimeters, Lakshmi Chowk 191 millimeters, Upper Mall 182 millimeters, Mughalpura 173 millimeters, Tajpura 180 millimeters, Nishtar Town 227 millimeters, and Chowk Nakhuda 163 millimeters.
In other Punjab cities such as Gujrat, Gujranwala, and Wazirabad, the heavy rain disrupted the prevailing humidity. The storm also led to multiple feeder failures, resulting in power outages and severe challenges for residents.
