Israeli forces have launched a series of extensive airstrikes in Lebanon, targeting a weapons storage facility in one of the most intense aerial operations in recent times. Among those killed was Hamas leader Ibrahim Aqil, with Hezbollah confirming his death and honoring him as one of their prominent figures. In response, the Iran-backed group Hezbollah announced retaliatory strikes against military installations in northern Israel.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that military operations would continue through the weekend, warning residents to be prepared for ongoing gunfire and explosions. Meanwhile, Hezbollah’s top leader condemned the deadly explosions that recently rocked Lebanon, calling them a “declaration of war” and accusing Israel of violating moral and legal boundaries. These explosions, which claimed numerous lives and left around 3,000 injured, were reportedly caused by multiple devices detonating simultaneously across the country.

Tel Aviv appears to be shifting its war strategy, concentrating its efforts on the northern front, an escalation that followed a deadly Hamas assault from Gaza. This conflict has resulted in significant casualties and widespread displacement on both sides.

As the situation intensifies in the region, militia groups in Iraq and other nations have issued warnings about a potential Israeli strike on Beirut, pledging a fierce and merciless response to avenge those killed in the recent air raid.
