The Ministry of Information Technology and its affiliated organizations are set to incur over Rs. 13.82 billion in expenses during the 2024-25 fiscal year, covering both employee-related and non-employee-related costs. Official documents reveal a budget of Rs. 993.568 million for the Ministry itself, which will fund operational expenses, employee compensation, and essential administrative needs for the year.
A significant portion of the budget, Rs. 6.989 billion, is allocated to the Special Communications Organization (SCO), a key provider of communication services in remote areas such as Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

The National Information Technology Board (NITB), tasked with implementing e-governance across various government departments, is set to receive Rs. 1.453 billion. The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) has been allocated Rs. 3 billion, including Rs. 2 billion to incentivize software exporters.
Furthermore, Rs. 500 million each have been reserved for the newly formed Pakistan Digital Authority and the National Digital Commission, both critical to advancing the Digital Pakistan initiative. In addition, the Electronic Certification Accreditation Council will receive Rs. 340 million.
