Baba Siddique, a prominent Indian politician and former Maharashtra minister, was tragically killed in an assassination attempt in Mumbai. According to reports from Indian media, unidentified assailants opened fire on Siddique near his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Bandra, close to the Ram Mandir area. He was critically injured, sustaining three gunshot wounds, and was rushed to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
Following the attack, two suspects were arrested—one from Uttar Pradesh and the other from Haryana—while a third suspect remains at large.

The news of his assassination sent shockwaves through both the political and entertainment communities in India. Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt were among the first to rush to the hospital in response to the tragic event. Baba Siddique, a member of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), had also been instrumental in repairing the relationship between Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan.
His death has left a significant void in both the political and film circles, with condolences pouring in from across the country.
