Pakistani singer Asim Azhar and actress Meerub Ali have officially ended their engagement after three years. The announcement was made by Asim Azhar through a heartfelt Instagram story.
In his message, Asim expressed gratitude to fans, friends, and well-wishers for their support and stated, “We wanted to share something personal, as we believe we owe it to those who have supported us. After much thought and reflection, Meerub and I have decided to part ways peacefully and mutually.”

He acknowledged the meaningful moments they shared and noted that although they had hoped for a future together, life had taken a different direction. Asim emphasized that the decision was made with respect for each other and their families.

Asim Azhar and Meerub Ali got engaged in 2022. Before his engagement, Asim’s close friendship with actress Hania Aamir had been a topic of public discussion, which later ended in a reported breakup.
