The Ministry of Religious Affairs is set to open applications for an additional 5,000 pilgrims under the Hajj scheme in the coming days. The announcement was made during a meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Religious Affairs, chaired by MNA Aamir Dogar.

- The session primarily focused on preparations for the upcoming Hajj season. Officials reassured that the quality of food for pilgrims would not be compromised.
- Enhanced training and guidance for pilgrims were discussed, with committee member Mujahid Ali stressing the importance of clear instructions for those performing Hajj.
- Aamir Dogar acknowledged the progress made in raising awareness and providing training at Hajj camps.
Pakistan Houses in Makkah and Madinah:
In response to a question raised by Asiya Naz Tanoli regarding the absence of Pakistan Houses in Makkah and Madinah, the Secretary of Religious Affairs explained that Saudi regulations prohibit the construction of such facilities on independent land.

Changes in Services:
The Secretary also noted that certain services, which were previously provided for free, such as water coolers, now require payment. However, he assured the committee that the Ministry is committed to ensuring that all necessary facilities are available to Hajj pilgrims.
