Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has emphasized the need for swift resolution of pending revenue cases in courts, warning that any delays will not be tolerated. He made these remarks during a review meeting of the Inland Revenue Appellate Tribunals in Islamabad today.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister instructed all relevant authorities to appoint highly skilled and competitive professionals to the tribunals. He urged officials to offer attractive salaries and benefits to recruit and retain the necessary talent for the timely resolution of revenue disputes.

Additionally, the Prime Minister highlighted the success of the faceless assessment system launched in Karachi, noting that the automated system has significantly reduced customs clearance time and eliminated corruption from the process.
The meeting also covered broader reforms within the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). Prime Minister Shehbaz reaffirmed his commitment to protecting public funds, ensuring fair tax collection, and avoiding additional financial burdens on low-income citizens.
