Microsoft has taken a major step in expanding access to its Copilot AI assistant by eliminating payment barriers for two of its most sought-after features. The company has confirmed that all users can now enjoy unlimited access to both Voice and Think Deeper functionalities without requiring a subscription.

What’s New? Unlimited Voice and Think Deeper Access

The Voice feature, initially introduced in October 2024, enables conversational interactions with the AI, allowing users to engage in natural, spoken dialogue. On the other hand, the Think Deeper feature, powered by OpenAI’s o1 model, is designed to tackle complex inquiries, such as evaluating major financial decisions by considering both immediate costs and long-term value.

By making these features free for all users, Microsoft aims to enhance AI accessibility while still maintaining premium perks for Copilot Pro subscribers.

Free, But With Some Limitations

While Microsoft has removed the subscription fee for these tools, the company has cautioned that performance issues may arise during peak usage periods. Users may experience delays or temporary service interruptions when system demand is high.

Meanwhile, Copilot Pro subscribers will continue to enjoy priority access to Microsoft’s most advanced AI models, ensuring a smoother experience even during high-traffic periods.

Premium Users Still Get Exclusive Benefits

Despite the broader accessibility, Microsoft maintains a tiered structure to balance free and paid services. Pro subscribers will retain exclusive access to experimental features still in development, ensuring they continue to receive value from their subscription.

By removing payment barriers for core AI functions while preserving premium perks, Microsoft is expanding AI adoption without undermining its subscription business model.
