Case Filed Under PECA and Blasphemy Laws

Popular YouTube sensation Rajab Butt has landed in legal trouble following the launch of his controversial perfume ‘295’. A case has been registered against him at Nishtar Colony Police Station under Section 295-A of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA).

The complaint, filed by Ramzan Bhatti, accuses Butt of disrespecting blasphemy laws, alleging that his perfume’s name references Indian singer Sidhu Moosewala, who had also faced Section 295 charges. The complainant further demanded strict action, citing Butt’s previous controversial acts, including alleged mockery of Namaz in one of his videos.

Previous Controversy: Ordered to Create Animal Welfare Content

This is not the first time Rajab Butt has faced legal action. Earlier, he was punished for illegally owning a lion cub, which was gifted to him at his wedding. The court ordered him to create 12 animal welfare videos over a year to raise awareness about animal rights.

Butt later regretted accepting the lion cub, admitting that wild animals should not be kept as pets. The cub was seized by authorities, despite claims of ownership by Umar Dolla, the original giver.

With over 6 million YouTube subscribers, Butt now faces serious legal challenges, further intensifying scrutiny over his social media influence.
