Introduction

BYD has introduced its latest electric sedan, the Qin L EV, positioned as a competitive alternative to the Tesla Model 3. Built on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 Evo, the Qin L EV offers an attractive price point and comes standard with advanced driver-assistance features.

The Qin L EV shares similar dimensions with the Tesla Model 3 but is slightly wider and taller:

For exterior customization, the Qin L EV is available in four color options: gray, white, green, and beige.

BYD has launched the Qin L EV in three variants, offering a significantly lower price than the Tesla Model 3 in China:

  • Base Model: RMB 119,800 (~$16,530)
  • Mid Variant: RMB 129,800
  • Top Variant: RMB 139,800

For comparison, the Tesla Model 3 in China is priced as follows:

  • Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD): RMB 235,500
  • Long-Range All-Wheel Drive (AWD): RMB 275,500
  • Performance AWD: RMB 339,500
