Gold Surges in Local Market

Gold prices in Pakistan continued their record-breaking rise on Friday, with a sharp increase in both per tola and 10-gram rates. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA):

  • Gold per tola rose by Rs. 2,380, reaching Rs. 323,380.
  • 10-gram gold increased by Rs. 2,041, bringing the price to Rs. 277,246.

This follows a significant jump on Thursday, when gold surged by Rs. 3,200 per tola, closing at Rs. 321,000.

Global Gold Prices Hit New Highs

The international gold market also saw an upward trend. As reported by APGJSA:

  • Gold per ounce reached $3,074 (including a $20 premium).
  • The price rose by $22 in a single day.

Silver Prices Also Rise

Alongside gold, silver prices in Pakistan increased by Rs. 30 per tola, bringing the new price to Rs. 3,610.
