Apple has officially released the iOS 18.5 Public Beta 1 update for iPhone users, marking another step in its beta cycle. While the update is modest in scope, it introduces a few notable changes aimed at refining the user experience.

One of the key enhancements can be found in the Mail app, where users now have the option to toggle Contact Photos directly from within the app. This feature, which was previously only accessible via the Settings menu, can now be activated or disabled by tapping the three-dot menu located in the top-right corner of the Mail interface.

Beyond Contact Photos, the same menu also allows users to manage other mail settings more conveniently, including the ability to turn off Group by Sender, categories, and AI-priority messages.

Another subtle yet useful change comes in the AppleCare and Warranty Coverage section of the Settings app. Users will now notice a redesigned AppleCare banner, offering a clearer overview of their coverage plan along with direct links for easy management and plan details. To access this, head to Settings > General > AppleCare and Warranty.

As the annual WWDC 2025 event draws closer, Apple is expected to conclude development on iOS 18 updates and shift its focus to the next major release — iOS 19. Official announcements are still under wraps, but anticipation is already building for new features on the horizon.
