The Government of Sindh has launched a progressive initiative through its Transport and Mass Transit Department aimed at empowering women by improving their access to safe and independent mobility.

Under this scheme, eligible women across Sindh will receive free electric pink scooties, enabling them to commute easily for work or education.


Eligibility Criteria for Free Pink Scooties

Women interested in availing this scheme must meet the following conditions:

  • Must be a permanent resident of Sindh.
  • Must be a student or a working woman.
  • Must possess a valid driving license (motorbike or car).
  • Must agree not to sell or sublet the scooty for at least 7 years.
  • Must pass a road safety skill test if selected via ballot.

Free Training & Support for Applicants

The Sindh Mass Transit Authority (SMTA) will conduct free training sessions across Sindh to ensure women are well-versed in both riding techniques and road safety rules.

Transparent Distribution Process

The distribution of the scooties will be done through a transparent balloting process. The entire process will be supervised by:

  • Members from the Excise, Transport, Finance, and Media departments.
  • Oversight by print and electronic media to ensure fairness.
