OnePlus is set to launch the OnePlus 13T, a compact flagship smartphone, in China today, and signs suggest the brand may soon bring a similar device to the Indian market. This speculation stems from a Counterpoint Research survey, commissioned by OnePlus, which reveals strong consumer interest in compact flagship smartphones in India.
The survey indicates that 74% of Indian consumers prefer compact phones, but 68% believe the market lacks sufficient options in this segment. A significant 88% of respondents expressed willingness to buy a compact smartphone—provided it delivers powerful processor performance and long battery life. OnePlus emerged as one of the most preferred brands for such future purchases.

Given the growth in mobile gaming and interest in AI-powered features, the Indian market is ripe for a compact flagship that combines performance, portability, and innovation.
