Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, announced in the National Assembly that Pakistan’s armed forces have killed 40 to 50 Indian soldiers at the Line of Control (LoC) in response to India’s recent aggression. He also confirmed the destruction of Indian military installations and aircraft, including five fighter jets — three of which were advanced Rafales.
Tarar highlighted that India is still retrieving bodies of its fallen soldiers, and a brigade headquarters has also been destroyed. He remarked that India’s confidence in Rafale jets had backfired, leading to humiliation as Pakistan successfully countered their offensive.

Speaking about recent drone incursions, Tarar said Pakistan shot down multiple Israeli-made Harop drones used by India, even outside the country’s air defense perimeter. Earlier, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed that a total of 25 Harop drones were neutralized using both electronic (soft kill) and weapons-based (hard kill) techniques.
These drone strikes followed India’s overnight attack between May 6 and 7, during which Pakistan shot down five fighter jets, destroyed several military posts, and inflicted significant casualties.
The ISPR called India’s drone attacks a panicked and cowardly response to its failed operations, asserting that the Pakistan Armed Forces continue to deliver a crushing reply and are successfully dismantling India’s aggressive plans.
