Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S25 Edge, the slimmest phone in its flagship lineup, measuring just 5.8mm thick and weighing 163g. Featuring a titanium frame and Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, the S25 Edge blends durability with a sleek, minimalist design. While its lightweight and compact form factor may attract users looking for portability, the smaller 3,900mAh battery may raise concerns over longevity, especially under heavy use or gaming.

Despite its slimmer build, the device maintains a premium design, although its reduced size could affect heat dissipation during intensive tasks. Long-term durability and thermal performance are yet to be thoroughly tested.

Camera and AI Enhancements
The Galaxy S25 Edge includes a 200MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide lens with autofocus, and a 12MP front camera. Samsung’s new ProVisual Engine promises better low-light shots and natural skin tones, but the absence of a dedicated telephoto lens could be a drawback for users who value optical zoom.

AI-powered features like Audio Eraser and Drawing Assist enhance content creation, while tools like Now Bar and Now Brief offer smart contextual suggestions. Samsung has also partnered with Google to integrate Gemini Live for advanced voice-based assistance.

Display, Performance & Battery Life
The phone sports a 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Vision Booster and Adaptive Color Tone aim to boost screen visibility in varying lighting conditions. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, with improved heat management via a broader vapor chamber—although real-world performance, especially under stress, is yet to be evaluated.

The 3,900mAh battery supports fast wired and wireless charging, but given the high-resolution display and refresh rate, battery life will depend heavily on software optimization and user habits. The device is IP68 certified for dust and water resistance.

Availability and Price in Pakistan
The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to hit the Pakistani market by mid-June 2025. The base model (12GB RAM + 256GB storage) is likely to be priced at around PKR 380,000, inclusive of PTA taxes. This places it firmly in the ultra-premium category, competing with rivals like Apple and Google. While the S25 Edge introduces several notable upgrades, including a compact design and expanded AI capabilities, trade-offs in battery life and camera zoom might affect its appeal among high-end users in Pakistan.
