The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MOITT) has clarified that it is not involved in the development of “Zahanat AI,” a chatbot recently described by the IT Minister as Pakistan’s first GPT. In a response to the Senate Standing Committee on IT, the Ministry stated that the project is entirely private and not affiliated with the government.
MOITT emphasized that while it encourages private sector innovation and technological advancement, it does not claim ownership or responsibility for privately initiated projects like Zahanat AI.
