Rolling out over the next two months, the update includes Leica-inspired shutter sounds that mimic classic camera models. The “Mechanical” mode, echoing the Leica M6, even features a simulated motor rewind if you hold the shutter longer than 0.4 seconds. It’s currently the most popular, with 18.8% usage, followed by “Classic” (M9-inspired) at 16%, the default “M3” at 15%, and “Modern” (M10-based) at 14%.
The rollout will happen in two phases:
- Phase 1 (May to mid-June): Xiaomi 15/14 series, Mix Fold 4, Mix Flip, Redmi K80/K70, Note 14 series, and Turbo 4
- Phase 2 (mid-June to late July): Xiaomi 13/12S series, Mix Fold 3, Civi 4 Pro, Redmi K60, Note 13 series, and Turbo 3
Meanwhile, Xiaomi is addressing display issues on the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro and investigating various HyperOS bugs. The company also launched a new car vacuum cleaner via crowdfunding in China.
