The upcoming iPhone 17 Air could disappoint users with its tiny 2,800mAh battery, according to a new leak. Despite its ultra-slim 5.5mm body and lightweight 145g design, the battery capacity falls short compared to competitors like the Galaxy S25 Edge, which packs 3,900mAh.
Apple may use high-density battery tech to improve endurance, offering up to 20% more capacity. The iPhone 17 Air is expected to feature a 6.6-inch Dynamic Island display, 120Hz refresh rate, Camera Control button, A19 chip, WiFi 7, and stronger display glass. It will likely be priced below the iPhone 17 Pro and launch alongside the iPhone 17 lineup in September or October 2025.
