A fake notification circulating online claimed that summer holidays in Punjab schools would begin on May 22. The document caused confusion among students and parents, stating that vacations would last until August 17, 2025. However, the School Education Department confirmed the notice is fake.
Punjab’s Secretary of School Education clarified that the official summer break will start from June 1 and end on August 9, 2025. He added that if extreme heat intensifies, the holidays may start a week earlier.
The department has urged the public to rely only on official channels and avoid spreading unverified information.
