Huawei has officially unveiled the Nova 14 Ultra, the flagshipmodel of its Nova 14 series, alongside the Nova 14 and Nova 14 Pro. It becomes the first non-foldable smartphone in the world to ship with HarmonyOS 5 pre-installed, blending elegant design with top-tier hardware, enhanced AI capabilities, and satellite communication features.
Huawei Nova 14 Ultra – Key Features and Specs
The Nova 14 Ultra boasts a 6.81-inch OLED screen with slightly curved edges, a resolution of 2860×1272 pixels, and LTPO tech for an adaptive 1–120Hz refresh rate. It offers peak brightness up to 5,500 nits and 2160Hz PWM dimming for reduced eye strain and consistent visuals.
Though Huawei hasn’t confirmed the processor, early indications suggest it’s a Kirin-series chip. The phone delivers smooth performance with HarmonyOS-level AI optimization, improved memory, and heat management. HarmonyOS 5, built on the Pangu AI model and featuring DeepSeek, brings smart system responsiveness, AI photo editing tools like Magic Eraser and Magic Cutout, and an upgraded Celia assistant with gesture controls and natural voice interaction.
The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main lens with variable aperture and OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.7x optical zoom, a 13MP ultra-wide macro lens, and a 1.5MP multispectral color sensor. Huawei’s RYYB filters are used across all key lenses, supporting up to 100x digital zoom. The front camera includes a 50MP ultra-sensitive lens paired with an 8MP zoom portrait lens, offering 4K video and 2x optical/5x digital zoom.
