Punjab Announces Early Summer Vacations for Schools Amid Heatwave

Punjab’s Education Minister, Rana Sikandar Hayat, has declared an early start to summer holidays for all public and private schools across the province due to the ongoing heatwave.

Originally set to begin on June 1, the summer break will now commence on May 28 in response to soaring temperatures and growing health risks for students.

To provide immediate relief before the holidays begin, the minister also announced revised school hours. From now until May 27, schools will operate from 7:30 am to 11:30 am.
