Xiaomi continues its tradition of being one of the first non-Google brands to adopt the latest Android OS, and Android 16 is no exception. The company has already begun rolling out the Android 16 beta to select devices, giving users a preview of what’s to come ahead of the official release.

While Google has confirmed that the stable version of Android 16 will launch in June 2025, Xiaomi has yet to announce an exact date for the rollout on its devices. However, based on the company’s past performance, users won’t have to wait long. Xiaomi typically follows Google’s release with its own updates within a few weeks. For instance, Android 15 was released by Google on October 15, 2024, and Xiaomi devices started receiving it by early November.

With Android 16 arriving earlier this year, Xiaomi’s stable rollout is expected by late June or early July 2025. As usual, flagship devices such as the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 14 series will be prioritized, with mid-range and budget models receiving the update in later phases.
